Nicaragua

In central north Nicaragua, in the regions of Matagalpa, Jinotega, Nueva Segovia and in lower amounts in the regions of Boaco and Estelí, coffee plants are mainly grown on clay-loam soils. Altitude: from 700 to 1.500 meters.

Most planted varieties are: Catuaí, Caturra, Catimore, Bourbon, Pacas.

The aromatic bouquet of this coffee is characterized by intense chocolate notes, a fruity aftertaste and a soft acidity.
